             Call for Papers

 

CVPR 2004 will be held at the Grand Hyatt in Washington DC, located in the heart of Washington's business and federal districts, just steps from the Washington Convention Center, MCI Center, The White House, and the free monuments and museums of the city.

 

Papers in the main technical program must describe high-quality, original research. Topics of interest include all aspects of computer vision and pattern recognition including, but not limited to the following areas:

 

Sensors and Early Vision                     Video Analysis and Event Recognition

Color and Texture                           Face and Gesture

Segmentation and Grouping                   Perceptual Interfaces

Motion and Tracking                         Statistical Methods and Learning

Stereo and Structure from Motion               Performance Evaluation

Image-Based Modeling                       Medical Image Analysis

Illumination and Reflectance Modeling          Image and Video Retrieval

Shape Representation                        Vision Systems

Object Recognition                          Applications

Workshop proposal:                 15th October, 2003

Short course proposal:                15th October, 2003

Paper registration (with abstract):    14th November, 2003

Submission of full paper:             19th November, 2003

Notification of paper acceptance:       2nd March, 2004

 

Short Courses & Workshops:          27-28th June & 2nd July, 2004

Main Conference:                    29th June – 1st July, 2004

 

All submissions will be done electronically. Submission instructions will be posted on the conference website soon. Reviewing will be double-blind. In submitting a manuscript to CVPR, authors acknowledge that no paper of substantially similar content has been or will be submitted to another conference or workshop during the CVPR review period.

 

 

In addition to the main technical program, the conference will include Short Courses, Workshops, and Demonstrations. Submit proposals to the appropriate chair. More information about these events can be found at the CVPR web site.
