The Joint International Computer Conference
(JICC) is an annual conference series jointly organized by China Computer
Federation (CCF) and Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS). Since 1994, nine highly successful
JICC’s had been held in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Beijing, Dalian, Qingdao,
Shantou, Ningbo and Zhuhai. The 10th
Joint International Computer Conference (short “JICC 2004”) will be held in
Kunming on November 4~6, 2004. The
theme of JICC 2004 is “Information
Technology: a key success factor for Enterprises in a Globalized Economy”. JICC 2004 will provide a forum where
academics and practitioners from the IT and business communities can exchange
views on the latest research results and technical development trend, and
assess the impact of the latest IT developments to the global economy. Keynote speakers of JICC 2004 will
include leaders and visionaries from the IT industry as well as corporate and
technical leaders from local and overseas companies. We invite your contribution to JICC 2004 by submitting good
quality paper proposals and participating in this conference.
Call
for Papers
JICC 2004 will consist of two major streams
of presentations: Technology Stream and Industry Stream.
JICC 2004 topics of interest include, but not limited to, the following:

Notes and Requests of Call for Papers
1.
The submitted
papers should be original and have not been published elsewhere.
2.
Extended abstract should be
submitted before
July 15, 2004. The extended abstract will be sent to jicc2004@vip.km169.net
and jiangyu@ynu.edu.cn with E-mail annex, format of PDF or MS WORD by the
author before July 15, 2004.
The
extended abstract should be written in English; less 4 A4 pages in length and
with typeface larger than point 10. Please also clearly provide the title of
the paper, author’s contact (unit, fax, tel., E-mail and address.), and
research field on a separate page, while submitting the extended abstract.
3.
Acceptance of
the paper will be confirmed by JICC 2004 Program Committee based on the content
and quality of the extended abstract. Notification
of acceptance will be sent on August 15, 2004.

Authors of accepted papers should send the
full text paper (format of
PDF or MS WORD) before 15 September 2004
to jicc2004@vip.km169.net and jiangyu@ynu.edu.cn with E-mail annex strictly
according to the following format:

① The full paper should be written in
English.
②
② The length of the full paper (including
illustration & reference literature) should be less than EIGHT A4 pages.
③
③ The typeface of full paper should be above
point 10.
④
④ All forms and illustrations should be
applicable for direct typesetting.
5.
Upon
receiving the Notification of acceptance, the author of the accepted paper must
send, by post, a copy of the full paper
signed by the author to Secretary Section of Conference before September 15,
2004.

6. The publication fee for each paper is
RMB400 yuan, which should be sent to Secretary Section of Conference by
Post before September 15, 2004.
Publication
of JICC 2004 Proceedings
Accepted papers of JICC 2004 will be
published by SPIE Proceedings Publishing Company (to be confirmed).
Outstanding papers will be selected for publication in “Chinese Journal of Computers”, “Journal of
Software”, “Journal of Computer Science and Technology”, “Journal of
Computer Research and Development”, “Chinese Journal of Graphics and Images”
and “Pattern
Recognition and Artificial Intelligence”.
